Through our programs, SFILY students are equipped with opportunities to grow, work with other aspiring leaders, and positively contribute to their communities.
The Spring Leadership Program is a 6-week long program. Students will participate in learning about civic issues and social emotional learning. They will learn how to articulate their identity, experiences, and opinions in front of an audience and meet mentors who will support them in the process.

The Fall Leadership Program is a 8 week long program for 7th and 8th grade students to practice public speaking and learn about civic issues. Our education is locally-based, as students primarily learn about San Francisco leadership and movements. Students meet once a week and explore various topics such as social justice, public speaking, and practice presenting to their peers. This program is a transformational leadership opportunity.

The Summer Leadership Program is a 1-week virtual program that features social justice presentations, discussions, and team activities. Students hear from guest speakers ranging from San Francisco government officials, to community organizations, to activist groups. Through a youth panel, students also learn from high school students and their leadership experiences. Our education is locally-based, as SFILY students primarily learn about San Francisco leadership and movements.
