Through our programs, SFILY students are equipped with opportunities to grow, work with other aspiring leaders, and positively contribute to their communities.
The Fall 2021 Leadership Program is a 8 week long program for 7th and 8th grade students to practice public speaking and learn about civic issues. Our education is locally-based, as students primarily learn about San Francisco leadership and movements. Students meet once a week and explore various topics such as social justice, public speaking, and practice presenting to their peers. This program is a transformational leadership opportunity.

The Summer 2022 Leadership Program is a 1-week virtual program that features social justice presentations, discussions, and team activities. Students hear from guest speakers ranging from San Francisco government officials, to community organizations, to activist groups. Through a youth panel, students also learn from high school students and their leadership experiences. Our education is locally-based, as SFILY students primarily learn about San Francisco leadership and movements.
