The SFILY team is a group of passionate high schoolers dedicated to educating the next generation of youth leaders. As a team, we aim to make social justice and leadership education more accessible to all middle school youth.

Co-Founder and Executive Director

Emily Nguyen is in the class of 2023 at Lick-Wilmerding High School. She is passionate about education equity and creating opportunities for youth to succeed. She is the District 11 Youth Commissioner on the San Francisco Youth Commission and a Youth Advisory Councilmember for the California Department of Education Executive Office. She is also involved with Breakthrough SF.


Adrianna Zhang is in the class of 2022 at Lowell High School. Since founding SF CHANGE, she has been especially interested in furthering education equity and accessibility to students in San Francisco. She is also a youth advocate as the District 7 Youth Commissioner on the San Francisco Youth Commission.

Community Outreach Director

Will Yu is in the class of 2023 at Lick-Wilmerding High School with interests in marketing and sociology. At school, Will is the captain of the Varsity Badminton team, interns in the Admissions office, and is the Advertising Coordinator of the AAPI Affinity Club. In the summer, Will also interns at Breakthrough San Francisco and works as a barista at Starbucks Coffee!

Director of Operations

Laura Reyes is in the class of 2023 at Lowell High School. She is a passionate advocate for education equity and gender equality. She supports youth in her communities through her work with SF CHANGE.

Executive Board Member

Ceci Rodriguez is in the class of 2023 at Lick-Wilmerding High School. She is passionate in civic engagement and hopes to pursue a career in law.
She supports her community by coaching soccer to low-income and underprivileged youth in San Francisco and frequently volunteers at San Francisco-Marin Food Bank.

Executive Board Member

Rajiv Natesan is in the class of 2023 Lick-Wilmerding High School. He is interested in public speaking and is passionate for connecting with many people from different walks of life. Rajiv aims to give young minds encouragement and insight from his past experiences in order to better prepare these youth for their future. Rajiv has participated in many internships and volunteer opportunities including tutoring kindergarteners in English that did not have English as their first language, building houses for homeless youth in Oakland and curating a youth art exhibit in the Presidio.

Executive Board Member

Leo Liao is in the class of 2023 at Stuart Hall High School. He is a jazz performer, digital artist, and youth leader who aims to make an impact in his community by educating youth on social issues and peer leadership through being a part of the SFILY team. Some of Leo’s talents include being able to placate whining kindergartens, doing a one-handed push-up, and cooking 4 sunny-side-up eggs at once.
